The coronavirus pandemic has affected nearly every aspect of daily life around the world, including education and exchange activities. Schools, colleges and universities, and other organizations worldwide have cancelled in-person classes, meetings, and exchange programs. Young people are working to adapt to learning from home, travel is severely curtailed for the foreseeable future, and exchange programs for tens of thousands of young people this summer have been cancelled.

Can you build a health technology tool to support the needs of individuals affected by a large-scale health crisis (pandemic, natural disaster, or other public health emergency)? A large-scale health crisis such as the current COVID-19 pandemic, or natural disasters, can disrupt the lives of everyone in an affected community. The public faces numerous challenges during these events such as rapidly spreading misinformation, shortages of supplies like medications, and lack of access to resources and health care.
