RETURN ON THE INVESTMENT OF ARIZONANS

Through TRIF, or the Technology and Research Initiative Fund, the University of Arizona creates impactful solutions to state and global problems, prepares students for the workforce, and contributes as one of the largest economic engines for Arizona.

Established with public support via voter approval, TRIF is an essential resource for growing Arizona’s economy and providing opportunities for Arizona residents to learn, work, and thrive.

TRIF investments at the U of A have seeded efforts that have generated more than $1.5 billion* in additional outside research dollars to boost Arizona’s economy.

WHY TRIF MATTERS

Continued TRIF investment is foundational to U of A’s success as an educational and research powerhouse, and expands the technical prowess, entrepreneurial spirit, and innovation-focused mindset that is synonymous with Arizona.

TRIF funding supports the education of almost 10,000 students per year at the U of A, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, adaptability, and hands-on experience that 21st century employers demand.
