Purpose: 
The objective of this NOFO is to conduct surveillance of diabetes in youth (< 18 years) and young adults (18–44 years) across health system and/or health plan membership-based centers to provide estimates of diabetes incidence and prevalence in the United States. These estimates are sought by diabetes type, demographic traits, health insurance status, and geographic area to identify disparities in diabetes burden. The prevalence of diabetes complication risk factors, acute and chronic diabetes complications, and use of diabetes medications among youth and young adults with diabetes will also be ascertained.

This project has two (2) components to achieve the purpose of the program. Component A focuses on surveillance of diabetes among youth (< 18 years) and young adults (18–44 years). Component B serves as a Coordinating Center to provide an infrastructure for standardized approaches, analytical methods, and measures to be used for surveillance across sites. It will also develop validation protocols, serve as a data repository, and provide statistical expertise.

The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to support research to: 1) obtain a better understanding of existing vaccination counseling practices for adults, particularly adults who may experience disproportionate burdens of vaccine-preventable diseases (e.g., pregnant women, racial or ethnic minority groups, those living in rural communities, those with chronic medical conditions); and 2) implement and evaluate interventions, such as a presumptive approach to vaccination counseling and motivational interviewing, to improve adult vaccination counseling practices at all provider levels (e.g., scheduler, medical assistants, nurses, advanced practice clinicians, physicians) in order to decrease misinformation about vaccines, increase vaccine confidence, and ultimately increase adult vaccine uptake.

The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to support research to identify and evaluate the effectiveness of quality improvement interventions specifically targeting adult immunization providers and to understand and develop approaches for immunization programs to support these efforts. This NOFO supports the Immunization Services Division and National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD) priorities of improving adult immunization, particularly among the priority populations established by NCIRD which include: 1) racial and ethnic minority populations; 2) pregnant persons; 3) rural communities; and 4) adults with chronic medical conditions.

The purpose of this notice of funding opportunity is to investigate the acceptability, feasibility, and effectiveness of promoting infant immunization during prenatal care visits, leading parents to vaccinate their children confidently. Prenatal care providers, including obstetricians and midwives, are trusted sources of information for pregnant women, yet many feel uncomfortable providing information or discussing concerns about infant vaccination because they may consider this to be outside of their area of expertise. This represents a significant missed opportunity to provide important information to pregnant women/parents from a trusted source at a critical time when research suggests opinions about childhood vaccination are forming.
