An annual cash award for the best M.A. thesis in the Department of Classics (by faculty nomination).

For students in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, the Social and Behaviorial Sciences Research Institute offers grants of up to $500 for Ph.D. and Master's research activities for a Master’s thesis, publishable manuscript, or a pilot project that will support a dissertation. Allowable expenses include research-related travel and expenses, subject payment, supplies, and small equipment.

The Regents' Professors, the highest of faculty ranks, is reserved for full professors with exceptional achievements that have brought them national or international recognition.

The Social and Behavioral Sciences Research Institute funds regular Research Professorship every semester. Each Research Professorship includes release from one course to conduct research on worthy projects in the social and/or behavioral sciences.

This postdoctoral fellowship provides an opportunity for a recent Ph.D. recipient to pursue an ambitious program of research in any area of theoretical, experimental, or observational astronomy or astrophysics.

The Peter A. Strittmatter Post-Doctoral Fellowship for Advanced Study in Astronomy & Astrophysics is a new prize fellowship created in honor of Peter A. Strittmatter, who directed Steward Observatory for 37 years, starting in 1975. Under his tenure, the observatory grew dramatically in faculty and facilities, including completion of the Multiple Mirror Telescope, the Submillimeter Telescope, the Large Binocular Telescope, and membership in the Magellan Telescopes, among others.

The Undergraduate Biology Research Program (UBRP) enhances undergraduate education by partnering with the research resources of the University of Arizona to provide opportunities for students to participate in mentored, self-directed work, which contributes to the fund of new knowledge.

The Steward Observatory Prize Postdoctoral Fellowship in Theoretical and Computational Astrophysics is a relatively new postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Astronomy and Steward Observatory. The successful candidate will have the freedom to pursue independent research as well as the opportunity to collaborate with numerous faculty members carrying out theoretical and observational research.

The MARC Program is a unique research, mentoring, financial and academic opportunity for undergraduates belonging to a group considered underrepresented in biomedical research and who have the interest and potential to pursue a PhD or combined PhD (e.g. MD/PhD) degree. The program is a two-year program intended for the last two years of a student’s enrollment at the University of Arizona.

This program provides six graduate fellowships per year to exceptional graduate students interested in promoting the understanding of space-related research to the public and who are studying in space sciences/engineering, public policy, earth sciences, science education, and global change-related fields.
